At last! It feels great to finally have released Identity! We’re very proud and personally think Asle’s brilliant design suits the album and our music very well. The next months will be very exciting!

The release concert is just a couple of days ahead and we had the final rehearsal yesterday. My ears are still ringing. We always start off by agreeing on tuning down the volume but we always end up blowing our heads off! Anyway, we’ve been playing the songs for a while now and they’ve kind of taken on a life of their own since the release of our two EPs. Some things have changed, new arrangements and we have a slightly different approach to everything, which is only natural I guess. But for the release concert we want to present the album pretty much as is and we had to go back and listen to some of the songs to remember how we did certain things. Still, we don’t really want to loose the vibe we’ve created. It’s and interesting experience and I’m looking forward to the show!

We want to celebrate the release with you, our fans, so we have a couple of things planned. Sort of a big “Thanks!”. We hope to see as many as you as possible!

We’re looking forward to release our first album 27 April. It’s kind of strange really since it’s now 2-3 years since we first recorded the songs and we have been playing them live for ever so long. But it feels great to finally give everyone a chance to hear what we’ve been doing all this time. For those of you who’ve already heard the songs on our two previous EPs we’ve done a lot of rerecording and everything is mixed and mastered from scratch. It really made a huge difference and we’re very proud of the result!

We’re planning a release party or release concert 1 May and I though I’d write a couple of entries over the coming weeks too keep you posted on the proceedings. How we rehearse and plan the show.

As we’re working on the release and promoting the new album we’re in the middle of writing new songs for our second album that hopefully will be released sometime early next year. We have some really exciting new stuff and hopefully we’ll be able to play a few shows this autumn where we’re trying out a handful of new ideas. As I’ve said before, I think the new songs are a bit more… erm… prog… God I hate that word… with a lot more guitars and more instrumental parts but it’s really too early to tell where everything is heading. I think… well hope… that we’ve managed to capture the essence of what’s become the “Airbag sound” while exploring new grounds.

We hope to see as many of you as possible on our release concert at Gamla here in Oslo 1 May. We’ll be playing the new album in its entirety and perhaps you’re in for a treat or two as well!
